But for how big it is, speed is essential to avoiding smaller targets that could potentially swarm it.

Not in temperament, no, but I was talking about its physical configurations.

...we've never actually seen it go at speed, have we? It must at least have fast reflexes, though. That Reaper we caught on camera was just gone.

It goes pretty fast normally, but we definitely haven't seen it at full speed. I'd be interested to see if it can out-swim a warper.

Hmmm. Might be unlikely. They were using the Warpers to transport the Dragon and Emperor originally, weren't they?

That is the assumption we're working with, but if the Dragon knew it was coming there's a chance a Warper could be outmatched. I'd assume that they caught the Dragon by surprise with the initial capture and that it was contained or sedated when transporting it elsewhere.

That's fair. The Warpers also have the advantage of maneuverability, though. It doesn't matter if the Dragon knows it's coming if the Warper can literally show up on top of it somehow.

It would be more of a fair competition if there was a way to tell where they were going to show up. But right now that's just guesswork.

[trying to beckon a seal closer, though without any fish in his hand it's not doing very much]

If I'm covered in too much fish smell the seals might try to take a bite out of me, you know.

[cheerfully dumps a blob of seawater on him; this is helpful, because it washes off the worst of the fish smell, probably]

because Sorey does not have water powers he does the next best thing and bodily scoops Mikleo up into his arms in order to dump him into the water]

[YELLS and snatches at Sorey's dive suit as he goes down

on the one hand it means he gets a mouthful of seawater

on the other, it means Sorey goes down with him, ha HA]

[this is like the third time today that Sorey has fallen into the ocean so he at least has the reflexive instinct to hold his breath and not get a mouthful of seawater

he's still ending up in the water which is unfortunate, but he gives Mikleo a little push further under to make sure that he comes up first]

[l-laughing and trying to swim back up to shore before Mikleo can grab him]

[he feels Mikleo's fingers snag on his ankle briefly, but it's not strong enough to pull him back; Mikleo crawls spluttering back onto the beach after him, probably to the amusement of the watching seals.]

[the seals are a good peanut gallery, especially since they keep coming closer to sniff for more food]
