[Sorey's laughing too, although it's breathless and involuntary as he tries to un-pin himself and retaliate in kind, going for Mikleo's sides with both hands even as he tries to push some space between them]

[he hits the mark; Mikleo tries his best to fend him off, but with Sorey moving around so much he winds up tumbling off him and back to the sand instead

this just means it's Sorey's turn to pin him and tickle him, although he tries to learn from Mikleo's mistakes and tries to snatch up Mikleo's hands with one of his own]

[Mikleo's able to dodge a bit better at first, but Sorey is a CHEATER and has BIGGER HANDS to catch his with...soon he's laughing so hard he can't breathe or even really try to get away from him, tearing up a little with it]

[it's effective!!! but not as effective as Sorey would like--he's laughing too hard to do too much tickle damage with only one hand. he has to stop to catch his breath, resting his head on Mikleo's shoulder and trying to muffle his laughs]

Looks like I win this one.

[he's still kind of wheezing, but he does loop both arms around Sorey weakly]

[p-pfff, he laughs into Mikleo's shoulder and wraps his arms around him in return]

[snickers, turning his face into Sorey's wet hair for a moment]

You...definitely smell like fish.

Of course I do, I just brought back a whole bunch of fish for our seal friend.

[oneandmikleonly]

[turns his head to look]

...huh. I think he brought his own friends.

[more seals have, indeed, started booping their way up onto the beach while the two of them were distracted tussling]

[pulling his head away from Mikleo's shoulder to turn and look]

I don't have enough fish for them.

[he sounds full of regret. there are so many cute fluffy seals to feed]

[ruffles his hair a little]

Now we know for next time, right? They all look pretty well-fed, in any case.

With so many types of fish nearby I'm sure they have a steady supply of food to catch. But if we feed them it shows our goodwill! Everyone understands the concept of food for friendship, even seals.

[sitting up and sliding off of Mikleo so that he can sit up too, brushing the sand of of himself]

[sits upright and shakes himself a little, eyes bright with interest as he watches their new companions]

Who would've thought we'd actually find them? It's not even too terribly far out from the base...

Maybe it helped that we knew exactly what we were looking for. Normally we're just swimming around trying to find anything new instead of one particular new thing.

What, you think our desires actually guided us here, somehow?

[not that it doesn't seem possible, with all the strange forces underlying this planet, but at the same time: dang]

I think we just got lucky, actually. But if the planet decided to make sure that this island was in the direction that we were swimming then I won't complain either.

...yeah, okay.

[sends a little telepathic 'thanks' in the vague direction of the green light, somewhere, privately]

I'm just glad they're not, you know, Reaper-style alien seals. That would have been all we needed!

That wouldn't even be a seal anymore! More like some kind of angry giant eel. And the only one who dislikes us as much as the reapers is the dragon.

. . . would the Dragon look more or less threatening if it were covered in fur?

Less threatening by a little.

[drawing out a silly-looking version of the Dragon in the sand, with fur, just to verify that his imagination is correct]

Maybe it should have fur.

[surveys it with a critical eye, and adds more tentacles]

That might create too much drag in the water, for a creature its size.

[gives it fire breath shooting from its mouth. for aesthetic]

It's not bad for us if it's slower.
