[making a small grumble noise at having to pause, but handing off the pad to Mikleo and squirming away to reach the water. he makes sure to tuck mikleo in so he doesn't get cold, and if he saw mikleo wiping at his eyes he doesn't comment.]

[...he starts inching towards the edge of the mattress under the blankets to reach the water, without emerging from under them...what is dignity? we just don't know]

[there is no dignity with sickness. but Sorey saves him the trip and offers him a cup of water, scooting back over and bringing the water with so they won't have to make any additional trips.]

A frog? I don't sound that bad.

[gathers the cup in under the blanket. he is totally using water powers to cheat and drink without getting up or spilling anything.]

It's not as sore as yesterday. I think it's starting to heal up. It still hurts to talk sometimes though.

[Finishing his cup of water before nudging Mikleo and moving back to his spot so they can continue the movie.]

[he's still a good cooling pad, at least...also a little hypocritical, since he starts muttering half under his breath]

She's lucky he's a prince, I guess. An ordinary sailor would be awfully hard to track down on land ifs he does find a way to get there.

It wouldn't have been that hard. She could just find the name of the ship and see if there was a list of the sailors who were on board.

That depends on how good the recordkeeping is, though, doesn't it? What if there isn't a registry? What if he has a common name? That's a problem.

Those might be obstacles, but it's nothing she can't overcome. If he was a sailor on a ship who needed to be paid for the work he did, then there would be some record of him whether it was physical or mental. Just asking around might be enough to get her the information she needs too.

Besides, it's a love story, she'd find him no matter what.

[...cue Triton showing up in Ariel's underwater hoard and wrecking it...Mikleo shifts back from the screen a little]

[Tensing up when Triton starts blowing things up, all the way through him leaving Ariel alone to cry. Ouch.]

Yeah. Jeez...that's overkill no matter how you look at it.

[He shifts and opens his mouth, but he doesn't have anything to say, so he hunches in a little closer and waits to see what will happen next.]

[Ariel is a good girl of course he wants to help her!! He shakes his head at the accusation; he is getting swept up in the story, though it's hard not to.]

She doesn't need my help anyways. I bet she'll figure out a way to make it work.

There's some kind of inherent symbolism in her losing her voice to gain her desire, isn't there...
