[Sorey catches the squawk and pushes a puff of seal fur aside to see what happened--and laughs]

You got it to come over with the fish I gave you!

[pushes ineffectually at its fuzzy, blubbery side, then flops over again with a sigh]

Here, here's your food.

That's like half of the--oh, thanks.

[reaching for the food and also trying to shove the seal more onto Mikleo at the same time]

[they have a shoving contest for a couple of minutes! ...the seal is finally disturbed enough to come snuffling up towards the smell of food. unfortunately, since it's between them, that just means its fat body is trapping them both more

mikleo starts laughing]

This is--maybe too friendly?

Just a little! I think the seal wins this one.

[Sorey manages to pull out another piece of fish and tosses it away from them--the seal takes the bait and wiggles off of them in order to get it before the other seals do]

[the seal problem's taken care of, but Mikleo stays sprawled on the sand with his head pillowed on Sorey's arm. oof, that was heavy]

We should tell other people about this place.

[there's a second where Sorey is about to get to his feet before he realizes Mikleo isn't moving, and then he just. settles down and gets comfortable again, minus the giant seal.]

We should take pictures to show them too. I don't know if anybody would believe that we found seals otherwise.

She'd be proud, no doubt about that! Although you'd have to explain what a selfie is first. But then she'd be making puns better than that by the end of the day.

[rolls his head on Sorey's arm to look at him, grinning; they're probably kind of sore in the legs from being lain on by a huge seal but he's happy, anyway.]

[their legs will recover!! Sorey tests his a bit, wiggling his toes and rolling his ankles to get some of the fuzziness out of them even as he turns to flash Mikleo a smile]

How is that little faith? I'm confident in both of your abilities to come up with appropriately ridiculous puns for any given situation.

You're underestimating my abilities against Lailah, though!

[he's still entrapping Sorey's arm, not budging]

[his one arm may still be stuck but the rest of him is not! rolling into his side for the express purpose of being able to reach over and poke Mikleo's side with his free hand]

Do you think you can out-pun Lailah?

I would give it a good try. If it came up.

[snags his wrist before he can complete the poke, making a puffy face up at him]

[leaning in until they're just barely touching noses, completely unable to hide his amusement]

I think you need to brush up on your puns before you can take her on.

[yanking his wrist out of Mikleo's grasp to cover his poor nose]

It's not like I called your puns bad.

[he didn't nip THAT hard, it was more surprising than painful. folds his arms!!!

[even if it wasn't that hard Sorey is still sulking, and after an exaggerated check to make sure that his nose is in one piece he reaches over to pinch Mikleo's nose]

[doesn't move, but looks TERRIBLY OFFENDED by Sorey's hand on his nose and his own nasally voice]

[he is not letting to go of Mikleo's nose, he will have to fight for it]

Serves you right. I only have one nose, what am I supposed to do if you eat it?
