There's nothing to do in bed.

[Spreading his hands out on front of him as if to emphasize how empty they are. Look at how empty. There is nothing to do here. It is so boring.]

Aren't you feeling better yet?

No. I'm freezing. Do you know how wrong that feels when you're a water seraph? I hate being sick.

[CURLS UP MORE UNDER HIS STOLEN BLANKETS, GRUMPY]

[Taking his makeshift pillow of blankets and putting the pile on top of Mikleo.]

It'll get better. We haven't built up an immunity to anything here, I guess, or we'd have gotten over it faster.

Uuuuugh. It's inconvenient.

[snakes an arm out and tries to tug Sorey back under the blankets too, but Sorey is heavy and he's floppy so he kind of winds up just hauling himself closer instead

on the plus side his arm is cold???]

[Cold is just what he's looking for. Sorey rolls closer just so he can grab Mikleo's arm to cool off.]

It is. It goes by faster when there's something to keep your mind off of it.

Reading really wasn't working, huh. I don't really want to play more I Spy...

[...oh, and Sorey's warm...lets him have his arm and shifts closer himself.]

[just as planned. resting his forehead against Mikleo's hand and using him as an icepack.]

I've Spied everything in this room already. Are there any other games? Or something to watch...

[you do that. fans his fingers over Sorey's forehead, sighing in relief]

I don't want to build a big TV screen right now, but there's URSULA's videos and things...?

That would be something to do.

[The blankets are unappealing, but he wiggles in to see if they can both comfortably watch something.]

A small screen is fine as long as we can both see it.

Fiiiine...

[grumbles at having to move more, but pulls the blankets over them and shifts until they're spooned underneath, then hands Sorey the digital pad he borrowed from the library. his head's under Sorey's chin; if they hold it at the right angle they can both see the screen perfectly well.]

They're supposed to be good! If it's not interesting we'll stop.

[Settling and poking through the digital pad to bring up The Little Mermaid]

[he knows better than to debate if anything on the title cards is a hellion by now, at least. thanks, weird alien fiction]

I hope one of the actors is named Todd.

[Starts to nod and then stops because Mikleo's head is right there]

If it's a common name I bet there's at least one.

[feels the movement and pokes him in the chin anyway]

Good. I'm sure if there is one, he's ready for an adventure. Play it already!

[Shushes him]

You can't talk while it's playing!

[And pressing the play button before he can retort]

[puffs briefly, ready to retort, but subsides as the intro comes up on the screen, absolutely fascinated.]

[Sorey is EXTREMELY fascinated by the animation, the music, the story--Mikleo can't exactly see his face with how they're positioned, but the restlessness has been replaced with an intense focus.]

[yeah they're gonna lie quiet like this for a while, too absorbed to start even debating it yet

Mikleo does draw his breath in audibly when 'Part of Your World' comes on, though.]

[Sorey's eyes are sparkling by the time Ariel reaches the chorus; he uses his free hand to pluck at Mikleo's sleeve in a "look, look!!" gesture]

[grips Sorey's wrist, giving it a squeeze; he's looking!

...he catches Sorey's expression on a brief glance up and can't help but smile, though.]

[In the pause between the song finishing and Sebastian making a loud mess, Sorey whispers]

That was a really good song.

[It doesn't count as talking because he was whispering, though because his throat is still sore it comes out more cracked than intended.]

[...hits pause on the screen so they can talk normally, maybe passing a sleeve over his eyes unobtrusively on the way]

It was, but you're drinking something before we go on.

[his voice is a little rough too but SHUT UP!]

[making a small grumble noise at having to pause, but handing off the pad to Mikleo and squirming away to reach the water. he makes sure to tuck mikleo in so he doesn't get cold, and if he saw mikleo wiping at his eyes he doesn't comment.]

Fine, but you too. Your voice sounds as bad as mine.

I'm not trying to whisper and croaking like a frog.

[...he starts inching towards the edge of the mattress under the blankets to reach the water, without emerging from under them...what is dignity? we just don't know]

[there is no dignity with sickness. but Sorey saves him the trip and offers him a cup of water, scooting back over and bringing the water with so they won't have to make any additional trips.]

A frog? I don't sound that bad.
