It sounds like it. Their technology is more advanced, which opens up endless opportunities for storytelling like this. What we have here is just the basics, from what it sounds like.
If we could mass-produce Iris Gems then we'd probably have our own equivalent for a lot of the things here. The key difference would be the use of seraphic artes in technology, since Earth doesn't seem to have any magic.
