Who did you even hear about movies from, anyway? We should consult their expertise.

Dirk, Karkat, and URSULA talked about them specifically, but it seems like anyone from Earth knows about them.

It sounds like it. Their technology is more advanced, which opens up endless opportunities for storytelling like this. What we have here is just the basics, from what it sounds like.

I don't think we're without the opportunities to approximate something similar, though. Think of the Iris Gems...

If we could mass-produce Iris Gems then we'd probably have our own equivalent for a lot of the things here. The key difference would be the use of seraphic artes in technology, since Earth doesn't seem to have any magic.

Yes. Humans...got really ingenuous about it, though. I mean, look at this tablet. It's thinner than a book, but you can do so much with it...access more than a book's worth--whoa!

They get better after a while...it's just that all of the energy you normally have is being spent fighting off a sickness.

It was a very engaging screen, to be fair. But I could use a nap.
