Do you think it will really work?

[Sorey is a good person who would never intentionally knock anyone over

unintentionally, though, that probably happened.

he's out of breath when he actually does make it to the exit though; he had to run from the other side of the base]

[mikleo was closer, so he's already there and not as winded, but he does look a little disconcerted]

I think it has a chance.

[he can't give false hope when he isn't sure, and he waits to be honest with Makoto]

The different powers from different worlds coming together makes things a little more complicated, because it's hard to tell what will and won't have an effect. But if something looks like malevolence to me, then purifying it has always done something positive as a result. It might not be a complete fix, but I can assure you that it won't be worse off than before if we try it.

[he takes a minute to catch his breath before responding, waving a hand and putting his stuff into his locker so it won't get ruined by going out into the water with him]

Hmmm...we can have a more even race once we're in the water.

[they're both prepped and ready to go soon enough; they're not carrying much or taking a vehicle, but they do have their weapons and a small bag of provisions in case they get stranded out for a bit. even if they don't -- well, what's a date without dinner involved somewhere?]

[there's no denying it: this scares makoto, because it's so out of his ordinary, slice of life family. but if he's learnt once thing in his time in this planet, it is to be braver and to persevere.]

[food is very important! but Sorey is more focused on the adventure--the race to find something, their usual game after all of the weirdness]

Once we spot something. It wouldn't do to go full tilt the entire way.

With this...I think it helps to focus on what you want made whole. If there's something you want mended or healed, then you need to think about what that is and why. Purification is stronger if someone wants to be purified--it means you're working just as hard to fix it as I am.

[he offers both of his hands, palm up]

I just need to be touching you for it to work. It'll look like fire, but it doesn't burn or hurt. If that's too much for you then I'd suggest closing your eyes.
