[Dirk makes sure to find the both of them together, not that it's hard. He probably shouldn't have marathoned getting this done, but it isn't like he's resting well anyway. It helps to have a project.
Yeah sorry kids, the malevolence is building up on this one again. But it isn't as bad, and getting to make these for Sorey and Mikleo helped a lot.]
The cameras I promised you.
[He holds them out to the pair, one in each hand. They're patterned after their clothing designs because Dirk is a big believer in matching to people's favourite colours.]
You'll be able to share them freely over the communication network. I'm working on developing an application to make that easier on everyone but for now you'll just have to forward the file. They take video and audio recordings too.
Really? That's amazing! I can't believe you did that so quickly.
[Managing to do anything with technology seems like magic to him, but it doesn't make him appreciate it any less. The malevolence makes him pause a little, and after a glance at Mikleo he adds,]
I hope it wasn't too much trouble. How are you feeling?
[well Sorey asked it so he didn't have to; he reaches out to take his camera, though, turning it very carefully over in his hands. his expression is touched, but he does wait for an answer to the question before saying anything]
[oh god they're still so sick. they have barely been out of bed in days. they're really used to being active and out and about for a good chunk of the day, though, and they're at the stage where the bedrest is starting to wear on them almost as much as the coughing and nausea -- they're wakeful, restless.
Mikleo is lying very very still right now, an arm over his eyes, trying to will himself back into a nap without much success; you tell me what Sorey's doing]
[Sorey was attempting to read, but with the nausea and aching and coughing there isn't much progress being made. Eventually he decides to call it a wash and closes the book, carefully setting it aside and rolling over onto his stomach on the bed.
But on top of being miserable sick he's bored and hot, and it takes about two more minutes before he's kicking his feet to clear himself of blankets and grumbling.]
[Stops moving at the request, though he wiggles his feet a little to let the restless energy escape. He puts his head face-first into his makeshift pillow and huffs.]
It's hot. I'm pretty sure this sitting around is making me sicker.
[snakes an arm out and tries to tug Sorey back under the blankets too, but Sorey is heavy and he's floppy so he kind of winds up just hauling himself closer instead
[grumbles at having to move more, but pulls the blankets over them and shifts until they're spooned underneath, then hands Sorey the digital pad he borrowed from the library. his head's under Sorey's chin; if they hold it at the right angle they can both see the screen perfectly well.]
